Use
of Molasses
Raw materials: glaze, alcohols, sweeteners, tobacco
flavor, ...
Molasses
is also used in fermentation to produce products such as ethanol, yeast, amino
acids and citric acid as well as used in tile production.
At present, in the processing factories of
monosodium glutamate, concentrated molasses is becoming an important raw material
for animal feed production and aquaculture.
Molasses has been used as a feed for livestock and
poultry since the 19th century. At that time, molasses was used as an energy
source and also as a vacuum cleaner. Dust restraint is of great importance
because cattle are particularly prone to dust-induced lung disease, and dust is
also a problem for livestock farmers. Dust also increases leftovers. The
literature shows that 10% of molasses actually removes all dust and 30%
eliminates fine particles.
Molasses
has been used to feed livestock (both ruminants and single stomachs) in many
tropical countries. In the past, molasses was used for relatively low levels of
diet in the diet (usually less than 20% of the diet). However, near-full-scale
studies in Cuba show that molasses can be used as a substitute for grain as a
solution to intensification of animal production in the tropics. Molasses can
be fed to livestock in a number of different ways, such as molasses and other
feeds, diluted molasses for direct energy supply or as an NPN, vitamins,
minerals and even veterinary drugs.
